  • 33% visible light transmission on the front doors of a 4 door vehicle, or the only 2 doors of a coupe. For the rear doors, rear port windows, and rear window on all passenger vehicles, there is no limit set for how dark it can be.

  • Any color of tinted film is permissible except for red and amber. Having amber or red-tinted film on any of your vehicle windows is against the law and would be considered a violation.

  • $250

  • To apply for the exemption, complete an Application for Window Tint Medical Exemption, form #40-1511, certified by a medical provider.

  • Arizona law enforcement takes window tint laws seriously and actively enforces them. 

  • Windshield: Non-reflective tint is allowed above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.

  • Although window tinting can be applied to any side of the window, it is most commonly done on the inside.

  • Once the film has completely dried (two to four days in the summer, or three to four weeks in the winter), you can roll your windows down again.

  • Not impossible, but definitely difficult. Even if you have plenty of experience with repairs and modifications on the rest of your car, this is an entirely different task that requires its own set of skills and tools.

  • Small bubbles in window tint after installation is normal. They should go away in a week or two. But if you have large or a lot of bubbles, it may be time for a new tint job.

  • Although it is not unusual to see a tiny amount of dust or lint around the edges, contamination or dirt should not be visible following the installation.

  • You can use Ammonia-Free Glass Cleaner on your car's tinted windows.

  • For professional installations you can expect to spend anywhere from $300-$500 for most sedans.  This also depends on the level of film you wanting for your application.

  • Ceramic tint is the superior option for UV protection, heat resistance, signal transparency, and nighttime visibility.

  • A complete car can take 2 to 4 hours.
